Sylvester Walkers' Grand Ballroom is a perfect place to hold your special event for a day. You supply all your personal touches, bring your own food, or use one of the local caterers and services to help.
Available Monday-Thursday between the hours of 10am-8pm. Includes tables, chairs, linens, access to warming kitchen. Nightly lodging in any of the 5 bedroom suites can be rented in addition to the event rental. Please inquire for details.
Sylvester Walkers' Grand Ballroom Event Center Information: - 11' Head Table, seats 6-8 - 6’-8' tables, wooden chairs, black linens included, table vases/decorations/runners, or you can provide your own - Electrical outlets throughout. - Central heating and A/C - TV for your presentation needs or a game that can’t be missed! No projectors or media equipment available. - 18" ledge runs entire perimeter of ballroom that can be used as seating or personal display shelf. - Lots of windows to brighten your daytime event. Fashionable lighting for your evening function - Cathedral ceiling with 1 grand chandelier and 4 beautiful accent chandeliers. - Ballroom is on 3rd floor and there are 2 sets of stairs that must be used to access the ballroom. No elevator. All items must be carried upstairs. - Restrooms used for the ballroom are located on the 2nd floor in guest rooms - Caterers use of the warming kitchen, located on the 1st floor. There is a double oven, larg fridge, and large freezer - A double tub is provided in the ballroom to keep your beverages cold - Coat rack provided - Trash cans are provided and we ask that you remove your trash when departing. Please take the entire can downstairs to eliminate any possible leaks. Thank You. - Antique decor - Don't hesitate to take a self-guided tour of the facility to see the beautiful rooms for future event planning.
Basic rules when renting the ballroom: - Please do not attach anything to the walls, ceilings, floors, or bench area. Some provisions supplied. - No coolers allowed in 3rd and 2nd floors. A double tub is provided for cooling/icing your beverages. We (BWT) will discard the leftover ice/water, just transfer leftover bottles/cans to your coolers. - No burning candles allowed anywhere in facilities. Non-flammable candles are only allowed. - All refuse/garbage from you and your service providers must be removed at the end of your event. - If using glitter, an additional cleaning may apply as it takes longer to vacuum out of cracks in floor. - Please do not move any furniture or items from the 1st or 2nd floor to the ballroom. If you need to borrow a special item, please contact us to see if we can accommodate your request. - Use of the barn, patio, sitting rooms or bedrooms is not included in the daily rental rate. If you want to stay an evening, along with guests, rooms are available to rent at the posted rates. Those amenities would be included in the nightly stay. - No smoking in any of the buildings. There is a designated smoking area on the patio for all guests.
